What an estate cleanout costs in Palm Beach County
There is no single published price for an estate cleanout in this guide, because no listed company publishes a fixed estate-cleanout price on its own website. Everything below explains what drives a quote, so you can compare written quotes on the same basis. Do not treat a junk-removal volume range as a cleanout price: a senior move with sorting, estate sales and donation coordination is a different scope from hauling a truckload away.

What drives a cleanout quote
- Size and scope: one room, a whole house, a condo, a garage or a storage unit — and how full each space is.
- Volume and weight of what must be removed, and how many truckloads that means.
- Sorting work: deciding what the family keeps, what is donated, what is sold and what is discarded takes far more time than a straight haul-away.
- Estate sales and liquidation: whether the company runs the sale itself, coordinates it, or only clears what is left after a sale.
- Donation and disposal: donation drop-offs, recycling and disposal fees, and any items that need special handling.
- Access: stairs, elevators, condo rules, narrow driveways and distance from the truck to the rooms.
- Labor and time: crew size, number of days, and whether packing, unpacking and final cleaning are included.
- Excluded items: hazardous materials, toxic waste and, for some companies, yard debris or construction waste are not taken at all — ask before you book.
- Urgency and timing: a probate deadline, a closing date or a move-in date can change scheduling and price.
Published junk-removal volume ranges (not cleanout prices)
The following ranges are published on the companies' own websites as general junk-removal pricing by volume. They are not estate-cleanout prices, and they are listed here only so you can see what the junk-removal companies themselves publish:
- 1st Class Junk Removal: $99 for a small load to $999 for a full trailer, with a firm upfront quote before work starts.
- XL Junk Removal: from $99 minimum, half truck from $459, full truck from $729, with the exact price in a written estimate.
- JunkHustle: $125 minimum to $695 for a full 14-yard trailer, including labor, loading, hauling and disposal.
- Zeflon Junk Removal: pickup-truck load from $150, full trailer around $450, with a free estimate by photo and a final price based on space used.
- My Junk Genie: most jobs $150 to $800, based on space in a 16-yard trailer, with a firm price before loading.
Every other company in this guide publishes no price figures at all and quotes by walkthrough, photos or a free consultation. If a company gives you a cleanout figure, ask whether it is a firm written quote for your exact scope or only an estimate.
What a written quote should itemize
- Exact scope: which rooms, the garage, storage units, and whether sorting, packing and final cleaning are included.
- What happens to valuables: what is sold, what is donated, what is discarded, and who receives any sale proceeds.
- Disposal and donation: where items go, and which items the company will not take.
- Crew, timeline and final condition: who does the work, how many days, and what condition the house is left in (for example broom-clean).
- Total price and what would change it: volume, extra rooms, extra trips, or items found during the work.
Ask every company the same questions and compare itemized quotes, not headline figures. The quote-questions checklist on the Get quotes page is built for exactly that comparison.
